Last Saturday (18 March), the New Gateway International School – campus 2 (NGIS II), hosted their Semester 1 Parent Teacher Conference for the 2022-2023 Academic Year. There was a great turnout of parents and students that attended. Starting at 8:00am, parents sat down with teachers to learn about their child’s progress in their courses and advised of ways for their child to improve.
Students also received awards for their hard earned efforts. These awards were presented by Vice Principal Mark Lynch where students and parents were invited to have their picture taken with Mark and other Teachers. See below for pictures of the event.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held at the main NGIS campus over the next two Saturdays, 25 March for Kindergarten and 1 April for Primary and Secondary School. Parents and students attending the main campus are invited to attend. Parents and students may talk with the teachers on a first come first served basis. Please contact the school for further information.
Chinese Public Speaking Competition
March 22, 2023
On Wednesday March 22, NGIS II (campus 2) held a Chinese public speaking competition (see pictures below). The competition was fierce as the competing students all performed very well.
As public speaking in itself can be difficult for many, doing so in another language can be a significant challenge… and achievement. We are all very proud of our students and how well they performed. Congratulations to all the students that participated.
